About Thomas
Mr. Pinney is counsel in the Business Department. He has substantial experience in documenting loans, litigating collection matters in both state and federal courts, and representing creditors and debtors in out-of-court workouts and bankruptcies. He has also represented mortgagees in more than one hundred foreclosure actions in state and federal courts.
Mr. Pinney's experience in drafting and negotiating loan documents provides him with insight into the enforcement of the documents (whether in or out of court) should the need exist. Conversely, his experience in litigating collection and bankruptcy matters provides him with a unique perspective when negotiating and drafting transactional documentation.
Mr. Pinney received his B.A., with honors, from Ohio University in 1986 and his J.D., magna cum laude, from the University of Dayton School of Law in 1989. He is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
