Prior to becoming an attorney, Mr. Escover served in the United States Marine Corps for ten years as an Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) technician. While fulfilling his military duties, John earned a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from Park University, graduating Magna Cum Laude. In December 2000, John graduated from Texas A&M University School of Law, where he was a Law Review Write-On Invitee as well as a member of the Phi Delta Phi Honors Fraternity. After law school, John began his legal career as a prosecutor in Williamson County’s Attorney’s Office where he was responsible for prosecution of all classes and phases of misdemeanor litigation including jury and bench trials, plea negotiations, probation revocations, and appeals. In 2003, John transitioned to civil litigation becoming an associate at Watson, Rossick PC, a firm specializing in toxic tort and products liability defense. John later served as an enforcement attorney for the Texas Lottery Commission representing the Commission during enforcement hearings at the State Office of Administrative Hearings. He also investigated, prosecuted and negotiated the largest fine at that time ever assessed against a bingo game manufacturer in the State of Texas. In 2006, John honed his trial experience in Austin concentrating his practice in medical malpractice, labor and employment, products liability, and personal injury actions securing millions in settlements and judgments on behalf of his clients. In 2011 the most destructive wildfire in Texas history decimated 1500 homes and business in Bastrop County, Texas. John and Bill Rossick filed suit on behalf of over 60 families and business owners against the electric company servicing Bastrop County and its vegetative management services company for failing to properly maintain its electrical lines that became entangled with tree branches that caused the fire. After over three years of doggedly prosecuting the claims of those home and business owners John and Bill secured a multi-million dollar settlement on behalf of their clients. Although John and Bill have since formed their own law firms, they continue to work together and represent clients in various matters as co-counsel. John is licensed in the United States Supreme Court, State of Texas, the United States District Court Western District of Texas, and is a member of the Texas Bar Foundation which is an organization of attorneys who represent the top 1/3 of 1% of the legal profession. From 2001 until 2010, John was also a professor of Criminal Justice for the University of Phoenix. John lives in Leander with his wife Donna and they have four children Bailey, Nolan, Keeli, and Wesley, two dogs, a turtle, and a hedgehog. Their lives are filled with sports, sports, and more sports from baseball, volleyball, football, basketball, and track.

Dan Christensen has been practicing law since 1994. He started his career working in military courts, notorious for their strict adherence to rules and procedures. Matt Mahoney graduated from the University of Colorado at Boulder in 2001 with a Degree in Applied Mathematics in Engineering, and he graduated from Northern Illinois University College of Law in 2007. Before becoming an attorney he worked a wide variety of jobs including, among others: Class A CDL Truck Driver; High School Mathematics Teacher; Limestone Cutter; Carpenter/Laborer; Oil and Gas Research Technician; House Painter; and Legal Process Server. His work experience is integral to his practice of law in that it provides him with a perspective from which he can better relate to the problems faced by his clients. Richard Pena is president and CEO of the firm. He was elected by his peers to serve as the President of the State Bar of Texas from 1998-1999. He served as President of the American Bar Foundation and was on the Board of Governors for the American Bar Association. He is also past president of the Travis County Bar Association, former Chair of the Texas Bar Foundation, and former Chair of the Fellows of the American Bar Foundation. He was a director to the State Bar of Texas and a State Delegate to the ABA. The Texas Bar Journal recognized him as 1 of 20 "trailblazers" in the February 2014 issue. He also was the recipient of the 2010 Difference Makers Award presented by the ABA General Practice, Solo & Small Firm Division. Richard is a national leader in the legal field, and is active in the American Bar Association, where he led the Texas Delegation to the ABA. He has also been active in the American Bar Foundation, where he was previously on the Board of Directors. Recently he served as Chair of the Fellows of the American Bar Foundation, which is the preeminent attorney group in the country with membership limited to one third of one percent (1/3 of 1%) of the lawyers in America. Richard has been on the Advisory Board of People to People Ambassadors Program and has led Delegations of Texas and U.S. Lawyers to numerous countries including, Turkey, South Africa, China, Tibet, Cuba, Vietnam, Cambodia, Egypt, India, Israel, and Brazil. He was also Chair of a U.S.-Russian Joint Conference on the Rule of Law in St. Petersburg, Russia. In 2006 he received the Eisenhower Achievement Award from the program. Alonzo grew up in south Austin and graduated from The University of Texas at Austin. After working in real estate, for the Travis County Attorney's Office, and for the Texas Legislature, he has found his home as a personal injury attorney. Ryan C. Bueche is the rare combination of a lead trial attorney and a lead appellate attorney. Prior to entering private practice, Ryan worked for four different federal judges in the United States Western District of Texas. While in law school, Ryan completed a nine-month federal internship with United States District Judge Walter Smith in Waco. After graduating from law school in 2008, Ryan worked as a Federal Law Clerk for United States District Judge Orlando Garcia in San Antonio, and from 2008 until 2011, Ryan served as a Federal Briefing Attorney to United States District Judge James R. Nowlin in Austin. Upon completing those three federal clerkships in 2011, Ryan joined Germer’s Austin office, and he was elected to be a Principal in 2015. Ryan’s broad appellate experience includes handling appeals involving product liability, commercial disputes, employment disputes, spoliation disputes, jurisdictional disputes, Anti-SLAPP disputes, and insurance disputes. Ryan also regularly serves as appellate support counsel for trials in State and federal court. For all of that work before trial and appellate courts, Ryan was given the honor of the Texas Super Lawyer Rising Star in 2017, 2018, and 2019, which is an award that is limited to 3% of attorneys under the age of 40.
