About Tina

Tina Sypek D'Amato has always been fascinated by criminal law, studying subjects related to criminal investigations, forensic science, psychology, and the law.

It's like touching evil without being evil; I am always fighting for the underdog, whether innocent or guilty, I love my clients and consider them like family.  There is so much at stake, every case counts.  We have all made choices in life that we are not proud of, some are criminal, some aren't but should be but regardless, in a moment of passion or immaturity, it is easy to get swept up in the moment, and take action without thinking of possible consequences.  My advice is if you do get arrested, DON'T TALK TO THE COPS THEY'RE NOT YOUR FRIENDS!  Even when you're innocent, they can take your words and twist them to make you sound guilty.  Believe me, you won't get treated better if you talk, you will just solidify the prosecutor's case.

Tina has an undergraduate degree in Law Enforcement Science in which she achieved high honors throughout, was invited to join the Alpha, Sigma, Lambda Honors Society and chosen for the National Dean's Honor List.  She participated in an independent study with Dr. Karazulas in Forensic Odontology.  He is the forensic scientist that cracked the famous wood-chipper case in Connecticut.  She also participated in an internship with the New Haven Prosecutor's Office as an investigator.

When she graduated, she was immediately accepted to Quinnipiac College School of Law, where she again made honors and participated in two internships with Danbury and Waterbury Public Defender's Offices participating in research and writing and arguments to the court and second-chair in trials with Part A.

From Law School, Tina immediately began working for attorneys in town that practiced criminal and civil law in both state and federal courts.  She second chaired several trials from assault 1st. to murder and kidnapping.

When she was admitted to the bar, Tina immediately opened an office of her own, with an emphasis in criminal defense and simple car accident cases.  To date, Tina has represented persons charged with criminal offenses of all sorts, in both the civil and criminal arenas, including but not limited to, gun cases, drug cases, murder, manslaughter, domestic violence, assault, robbery, larceny, sexual assault, child molestation and reckless endangerment, motor vehicle cases, DUI, pardons, parole hearings, probation violations, and habeas corpus.   In addition, she has had many successful dispositions, including dismissals, nolle's and substitutions of minor crimes for more serious crimes, many times avoiding sex offender convictions and registration.  She is not afraid to go to trial or speak up in court.

"If there is a loophole, I will find it.  Innocent or guilty, it doesn't matter.  The police and their associates must follow the law in making arrests, they are not above it.  We make them accountable.  I take pride in my work and the relationships I build with my clients.  I am always available; I will walk you through each part of the process, informing you of what to expect.  I am honest and up front and I won't tell you its going to be ok if it isn't."
