Trustee: Attorney is the Trustee for the estate of the defendants. The plaintiffs, Barbara and Lynn Hubbard filed a complaint against the defendants. After negotiations a settlement and release agreement was reached. A motion was then filed to have the case dismissed with prejudice as to the defendants only. After reviewing the stipulations within the agreement the court approved the settlement and granted the stipulation and dismissal requests.
Please describe a case in the last year or two where you made a big difference.
Last year, I settled a case from a good samaritan who was run over by a commercial truck and trailer and had his entire lower leg crushed. He had to go through tremendous amounts of medical work, involving external halo fixators to regrow his bone length in his lower leg. We sued the company and driver who was responsible for running over my client, who was clearing debris on the tollway during traffic. The driver was not licensed to drive the vehicle as loaded, and I was able to acquire video of the accident happening on the tollway's camera system, which was instrumental to the case. We settled the case for $3.5m and set the client up for life since he was no longer able to get around for his physically demanding job.
