Questions & Answers

Please describe a case in the last year or two where you made a big difference.

I had a client charge with Felony Burglary. He routinely stated his innocence. The case proceeded to trial and the client was found not guilty of all charges. I had a father who had very little visitation. After collecting evidence and discovery I was able to get the children out of the home in which the mother was using drugs and abusing the children and into the custody of the father.

How did you build a successful practice?

I started off small. However, every case I did and still do put 110% of effort into it. I do not cut corners and am always prepared and ready for Court. Clients know when an attorney cares about their case and that is how I have built my practice.

What should clients look for in a lawyer?

Someone that is compassionate about what they do and the people and cases they represent. However, at the same time will stand up for their clients and always protect the client's interest.

How important is local knowledge to the success of your cases?

Knowing the ins and outs of a local area are always helpful. However, if the attorney puts in the work the needed information can always be obtained.

What information can you provide in a free phone consultation?

I can provide approximate fees, the procedure in which would occur, the expected Court time and length, and answer questions the potential client has about their case.

What information do you need in a free phone consultation?

Names of all parties involved, the court in which the matter is pending or will be pending, if anything has been filed and, if so, when they received it, their prior history in the matter with the court.

What differentiates you from other lawyers in your community?

Work ethic. It is not uncommon to take a look around the area at 4 or 5 o'clock and see all the other attorneys' offices closed. Our office typically has someone in it working till 7 to 9 o'clock and on many weekends. I will put in the effort needed for the case and not cut corners I do not bend simply to make the attorney on the other side happy or to do a favor. I work for my client.

What is the most rewarding aspect of your job?

Client's happiness. When I have clients thanking me before we even know the outcome I know that they are glad they chose me and that is the best feeling.

What are your other interests in addition to law?

Off-road driving and camping.

Are you involved in your community?

I help with the local schools mock trial programs, assist with many community events and fundraisers, as well as donate time and effort to assist the community.
