Tyler P. McLeod, a partner with the firm, focuses his practice in the areas of employment law, franchise law and litigation. 

 In his employment practice, Mr. McLeod represents clients in agency investigations and lawsuits and counsels clients on day-to-day issues involving all aspects of human resources and legal compliance, including FMLA, wrongful discharge, disability, race, gender, age, sexual harassment, workers' compensation and wage payment issues. He also drafts personnel policies and manuals for employers and regularly assists employers with disciplinary and termination concerns and other workplace issues. 

In his franchise law practice, Mr. McLeod provides legal services to both franchisors and franchisees. He has a broad range of experience advising and representing franchisors and franchisees that includes drafting federal disclosure documents, assisting with registration and compliance with federal and state laws, negotiating and drafting franchise agreements, handling transfers and terminations and other legal matters. 

Before joining the firm in 2000, Mr. McLeod served as the law clerk to the Honorable J. Patrick Brazil, Chief Judge of the Kansas Court of Appeals and as a research attorney for the Kansas Court of Appeals Central Research Staff. 

Mr. McLeod received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Nebraska Lincoln with a major in English and a minor in Business.  He obtained his law degree from the University of Kansas School of Law in 1998 where he was a member of the Law Review and served as a legal intern to the Honorable Gerald Rushfelt, Federal Magistrate Judge for the Federal District of Kansas, and the Honorable Jerry G. Elliott, Kansas Court of Appeals Judge. 

Mr. McLeod is admitted to practice in Nebraska and Kansas , and is a member of the Nebraska State Bar Association. He is also a member of the Robert Spire Inns of Court, a group of judges and trial lawyers who meet monthly to promote professionalism, civility and ethics. Mr. McLeod serves on the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board to the City of Omaha, and the Big Brothers Big Sisters Service League Executive Committee.  He is a graduate of Leadership Omaha, class 28, 2005-06, and the Meritas Leadership Institute Class 2008-09.
