About David

David Valdez Jr.’s first exposure to Car Fraud was not as an attorney but as a victim. After purchasing a vehicle in the summer of 2002, Mr. Valdez discovered his car was damaged in a previous accident. The sales representative at the dealership insisted, and made several assurances, that the car was in perfect condition.

Mr. Valdez quickly resolved his matter with the dealership. However, the deception left a strong impression. He shared his story of fraud, and in the process, learned that many others experience similar business practices when buying vehicles. Unfortunately, most victims are further misled into giving up their rights or do not know where to get help.

It was at that point Mr. Valdez decided to focus his practice on Car Fraud and Lemon Law cases. Since that time, Mr. Valdez assisted clients in claims against many new and used auto dealerships in Los Angeles, Orange, and Riverside Counties. He has also resolved many cases against manufacturers, including Ford, Honda, GM, Nissan and Volvo, as well as, financial institutions of all sizes, including Wells Fargo and Bank of America.

Mr. Valdez has entry-level training for photovoltaic (solar electric) systems from the North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners (NABCEP), and has begun working on matters involving Solar Panel Fraud. This area encompasses the enforcement of warranties and fighting unfair business practices such claims of impossible energy savings.  Consumers and businesses can be easily mislead about the complexities and advantages of photovoltaic systems by companies aggressively pursuing government incentive programs.

Mr. Valdez’s Consumer Law Practice is rounded out with cases of Identity Theft and Unfair Debt Collection Practices, two areas in which the Federal Trade Commission consistently receives the most consumer complaints.

Minimal retainer with contingency based upon fee shifting statutes and contractual attorney fee provisions.
