About Valerie
Attorney Valerie Ochs practices exclusively bankruptcy law at Perrotta & Cahn assisting individuals and businesses in Dallas, Dalton, Cartersville and Calhoun in Chapter 7, 11 and 13 bankruptcies. She also provides legal advice and counsel to those facing foreclosure and experiencing creditor harassment. Her goal as a bankruptcy lawyer is to help clients eliminate and manage debt and return to positive financial health.
Ms. Ochs has practiced bankruptcy law for over 15 years. Prior to moving to Georgia and joining Perrotta & Cahn in 2010, she worked as a trial lawyer with the Office of the United States Trustee for the Eastern District of New York, where she litigated significant issues in both Chapter 7 and Chapter 11 cases. Ms. Ochs also worked for a Chapter 7 panel trustee, handling all phases of Chapter 7 bankruptcy administration from trustee appointment through case closing. Her experience representing both debtors and creditors in bankruptcy proceedings gives her unique insight and comprehensive knowledge of the important issues in bankruptcy cases.
Ms. Ochs graduated from Brooklyn College in 1992, and went on to earn her law degree summa cum laude from Touro Law School in Huntington, New York in 1995. She ranked second in her law school class, receiving the American Jurisprudence Award in Contracts and Pre-Trial Litigation. Ms. Ochs is licensed to practice law in state and federal courts in both Georgia and New York.
