Valerie Wyman Paul, Attorney

Valerie is motivated to serve, whether it be her community, family, or clients. While earning her bachelor’s degree at the University of Nevada, Reno, Valerie lent her time to working with lawmakers at the state and federal levels, triggering a life-long interest in the rule of law. To expand her understanding of the legal paradigm affecting business and community, Valerie located to the Northern Rockies to achieve her Juris Doctorate at the University of Montana School of Law, graduating in 2005.

With fifteen years in the practice of law, Valerie has developed a passion for working closely with business clients and individuals to achieve their objectives. Valerie is driven to help her clients succeed. She worked for a Bozeman law firm before transitioning to in-house counsel work at Montana owned and operated Town Pump, Inc., where she was able to provide tailored advice to one of the state’s largest corporations.

Valerie has become well-versed in what makes the business tick and desires to modernize delivery of legal services. She believes today’s businesses are constrained by 1) uncontrolled legal costs; (2) lack of access to their counsel; and (3) lack of knowledge by their counsel as to the needs of the corporate client. In an effort to close these gaps, Valerie will be offering services to Montana’s business sector as part of Silverman Law Office’s Virtual In-House Counsel program, advising on common legal issues affecting business: commercial transactions, contracts, real estate transactions, labor and employment matters, intellectual property issues, and legal operations. With all the challenges that regularly confront business, Valerie believes legal services should be predictable, reliable, and available “on-demand” for the business client.

When she’s not working, Valerie enjoys exploring the wilds of Montana by foot, ski, and boat.
