Véronique is recognized for her work in international human rights, including the handling cases of child abductions under the Hague Convention. She has earned an Award of Merit from the National Centre for Missing & Exploited Children in Washington, D.C. for her outstanding work in the protection of children internationally. In 2016, she was selected by the Former Justice Minister of Canada and Professor Emeritus at McGill University, the Honorable Irwin Cotler, for a Secondment as Executive Director for the Raoul Wallenberg Centre for Human Rights, in Montreal.
