About Veverly
Veverly Gary Hamilton is an attorney and the sole owner of the Law Offices of Veverly Gary
Hamilton, P.A., where she practices in the areas of family law, personal injury, medical
malpractice and criminal defense. She also worked as a Registered Nurse for twenty-seven
years. Veverly is admitted to practice law in all of Florida’s state courts, the United States
District Court for the Southern District of Florida, and United States District Court for the
Western District of Wisconsin. She is a member of the Florida Bar and the American Association
for Justice.
She is a member of the ACLU where she serves as President of the Treasure Coast Chapter
ACLU of Florida, chair of the Treasure Coast Chapter legal panel and a board member of the
ACLU of Florida. She is a board member of the Martin County Democratic Black Caucus where
she serves as chair of the policy and bylaws committees and provides legal advice to the
Caucus. She is also a board member and serves as legal counsel for Indiantown Community
Outreach, Inc. and is advisory legal counsel for Wings of Deliverance, Inc.
Mrs. Gary-Hamilton earned her Juris Doctorate from Nova Southeastern University Shepard
Broad Law Center in 2004, Bachelors of Arts in Political Science with a minor in Sociology, Cum
laude, in 2000 from Florida Atlantic University, and an Associate Degree in Nursing from Palm
Beach State College in 1989. She also holds a certificate in Ethnic Studies from Florida Atlantic
University. Due to her outstanding academic work at Florida Atlantic University, she was
inducted into the National Political Science Honor Society and during law school she was listed
in Who’s Who among American Law Students and made the Dean’s list several semesters.
