Questions & Answers
Please describe a case in the last year or two where you made a big difference.
I represented a family in a matter which originated as a simple property conveyance, but led to a personal injury and then an estate matter. Because the family and I walked together through these unexpected events, we became like family and they were able to release their cares to my office.
How did you build a successful practice?
Repeat business and referrals from satisfied clients, mostly. Also, by being genuine - caring about people and being polite and kind. Treating others in a way that way that I like to be treated.
What should clients look for in a lawyer?
A lawyer that demonstrates that he or she heard the client's desired outcome.
How important is local knowledge to the success of your cases?
Depends upon the case. It could be particularly important.
What information can you provide in a free phone consultation?
Whether or not the matter is worth a deeper look and maybe the costs.
What information do you need in a free phone consultation?
Just an overview of what the case is about. From that point, I will ask for what I think is most important to determine if it\\\' a matter worth pursuing.
What differentiates you from other lawyers in your community?
The lawyers in my community love the work they do and the people they serve. We may have different styles but we desire the same end for our clients.
What is the most rewarding aspect of your job?
Seeing my clients satisfied (at the least) with the outcome of their case. I also enjoy hearing the relief in their voices after we've spent time discussing the matter. It means they trust me to help.
What are your other interests in addition to law?
Spending time with my family, reading, writing, and creating inspirational content.
Are you involved in your community?
My family serves our community through our local church and non-profit agencies providing help and assistance to those in need.
