Mr. Martin received his undergraduate degree from Towson University, where he graduated summa cum laude with a host of scholarships and awards. While at Towson, Mr. Martin took advanced classes in chemistry and physiology, worked in the university’s physiology lab, and performed original research. He also found time to work as a trauma tech in the Critical Care and Intensive Care Units at the University of Maryland. Before going to law school, Jeff honed his advocacy skills by leading two highly-respected churches in Wisconsin and Appalachia. Mr. Martin is a graduate of the William & Mary School of Law, where he received his juris doctor with honors in the top 14% of his class. Because of his excellence in written and oral advocacy, Mr. Martin was awarded the Gambrell Professional Award. He received the CALI Award for his work with the PELE Special Education Advocacy Clinic and was honored with the Perkins Trust Scholarship. During his time at William & Mary, Mr. Martin was one of eleven students recognized for their excellence in analysis, research, writing, and trial practice for all four semesters. When Attorney Michael C. Tillotson began work on his book Virginia DUI Law: Understanding the Scientific, Medical, Technological, and Legal Aspects of a DUI Case, he turned to Mr. Martin for assistance. As a researcher and contributor, Mr. Martin provided high-quality work for the book’s first chapter regarding Virginia’s DUI law history. The attention to detail and hard work that Mr. Martin puts into his research and school work are also applied to his clients.
