Alexander Laufer joined the firm in 1994. His practice is concentrated in civil litigation and real estate transactions, providing services in the areas of personal injury law, medical malpractice, construction law and employment law. Mr. Laufer grew up in Montreal, Canada but also lived and attended school in Jerusalem and Johannesburg, South Africa. He speaks four languages, English, French, Hungarian and Hebrew. Mr. Laufer graduated (cum laude) in 1972 from Loyola College and with High Honors from the University of Florida School of Law in 1976. Mr. Laufer has been an adjunct professor at Hillsborough Community College in Tampa, Florida and more recently at the Marymount University School of Business. He is a member of both the Virginia and Florida bars and is a Commissioner in Chancery in Fairfax County. Mr. Laufer has over 35 years of experience in complex litigation in both state and federal courts, including bankruptcy court and has handled thousands of residential and commercial real estate transactions. In recent years Mr. Laufer has litigated numerous cases involving noncompliance by residential builders with the federal Interstate Land Sales Full Disclosure Act. In addition, Mr. Laufer has become a member of the Vaccine Injury Program Bar and the Federal Court of Claims Bar Association and is assisting families with members injured by vaccines, in obtaining compensation pursuant to the Vaccine Injury Compensation Program, a federal program whichimmunizes (pun intended) pharmaceutical companies from suit, but substitutes a fund as an alternative. This is a relatively obscure and poorly understood program which, however, represents the only real recourse for those suffering injury from vaccines listed on the Vaccine Injury Table.

Joseph H. Beale is an experienced Virginia and Washington, D.C. attorney who has represented individuals and families for more than three decades. Jonathan grew up in Lexington, Virginia. After finishing his law degree at Washington & Lee University School of Law, Jonathan worked as a Contract Negotiations Specialist and as a Financial Planner for a Fortune 500 company before starting Tarris Law in 2016. Glen Henkle is a lifelong Virginian whose family has proudly called this state home for over 200 years. Although born in Richmond, he was raised and attended school in Amelia County and still makes his home there. His upbringing in a rural area taught him the value of hard work, faith, family, community, and that bad things do happen to good people. Roy J. Baldwin, Esq. was born in Nacogdoches, Texas, and raised in Lincoln, Nebraska. He has lived in Virginia since 1975. He is married and his son, Nathaniel, is an associate of the firm. James has more than 40 years of experience in the area of estate planning and administration, estate disputes, and real estate. He has been with the firm since he began practicing law in 1983. Mr. Cox received a B.A. summa cum laude from Duke University in 1980 and a J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law in 1983. He is a Virginia Law Foundation Fellow and a committee member of Virginia CLE and the Virginia Law Foundation. He is a past Chairman and member of the Council and Legislative Committee of the Wills, Trusts, and Estates Section of the Virginia Bar Association. He was the President of the Charlottesville Albemarle Bar Association for 2009-2010 and is the current Chairman of the Real Estate Committee of the Charlottesville Albemarle Bar Association. He is a frequent lecturer in continuing legal education programs and since 1993 has been the author of the annual supplements to the four-volume treatise, Harrison on Wills and Administration in Virginia and West Virginia, published by the Michie Company, now Lexis Nexis. He is also the editor and contributing author to the Virginia CLE publication, Estate and Trust Administration in Virginia, first published in 1997.
