Once this information came to light, the defendants agreed to settle with attorney Crowley and his clients out of court. The story was picked up by Hollywood and became an Oscar-nominated film starring John Travolta called A Civil Action. Since then, attorney Crowley has put his energy towards winning smaller cases. He founded his current firm, the Law Office of William J. Crowley, in January of 2000. Attorney Robert N. Launie graduated from Boston College High School in 1974 and Boston College in 1978.
