Scott G. Richmond is an accomplished Illinois attorney with a broad practice focused on complex legal matters affecting individuals, businesses, property owners, and organizations. His work includes commercial litigation, civil litigation, landlord and tenant matters, personal injury and wrongful death claims, collections, employment matters, and real estate disputes. He also represents clients in zoning and land use matters, homeowner and condominium association matters, and general counsel services. Mr. Richmond has been licensed to practice in Illinois since 1995 and is also admitted before the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois and the United States Supreme Court. He earned his B.A. in Accounting from Michigan State University and graduated with high honors from IIT Chicago-Kent College of Law. His professional recognition includes selection as a Leading Lawyer since 2014 and a Super Lawyer since 2021. Mr. Richmond has also maintained extensive involvement in professional, civic, and charitable organizations throughout the Fox Valley area. He has served as a Village Trustee for South Elgin, as General Counsel to the Kane County Bar Association, and as a member of the association's Board of Managers. His leadership experience includes service on the boards of St. Charles Bank & Trust Company, Advocate Sherman Hospital, and Food for Greater Elgin, where he previously served as Chairman. Mr. Richmond also served as Vice Chairman of the Brett Armin Sarcoma Foundation and previously chaired the South Elgin Economic Development Council. Through his legal practice and longstanding community involvement, he has developed a career defined by broad legal experience, professional leadership, and service to the communities in which he practices.

Marissa’s main areas of concentration are family law matters such as Divorce, Child Custody, Child Support, Paternity, Visitation and Adoption. Marissa is also a court approved family Mediator and Guardian ad Litem in Kane and Dekalb County. In addition, Marissa is one of the few Kane County foreclosure mediators for the sixteenth judicial circuit. Marissa is an active member of the Kane County Bar Association, DeKalb County Bar Association, Du Page County Bar Association and Illinois State Bar Association. In addition, Marissa is a member of the Kane County Family Law Committee.
