Ted is a seasoned and formidable trial attorney with more than 42 years of legal experience. He began his career at the Lake County State’s Attorney’s Office, where he rose to Division Chief and felony trial attorney in the Career Offenders and Narcotics Unit. After five years as a prosecutor, he spent 15 years in private practice handling serious criminal matters, including major felonies, misdemeanors, DUI cases, and numerous murder jury trials. He also served as a Special Public Defender, representing defendants in complex felony cases. After 20 years in practice, Ted was appointed as an Associate Judge in Lake County, where he served for 22 and a half years before retiring in October 2024. He returned to private practice in December 2024 and, in June 2025, became Of Counsel with Miroballi Durkin Rudin Lucas and Rosenblum in Chicago. While affiliated with a long-established civil litigation firm, Ted’s practice remains focused on defending and protecting the rights of individuals facing criminal charges. He has also been selected by the 22nd Judicial Circuit in McHenry County to represent criminal defendants with conflicts involving the Public Defender’s Office.
