Bill Ballaine has over 30 years of experience handling a wide range of civil disputes at the trial and appellate levels in federal and state courts over much of the country. He has successfully handled appeals in seven U.S. Courts of Appeals and the highest courts in New York, Florida, Delaware and the District of Columbia. His diverse practice includes mass and toxic torts, commercial, consumer and insurance coverage disputes, employment discrimination and civil rights actions, environmental litigation, and professional liability. Early in his career, Bill served as an Assistant U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York and Chief of the office's Tax Unit. He later served as Consulting Attorney for the Nuclear Regulatory Commission's investigation into the Three Mile Island disaster and then as Counsel to the U.S. Senate Sub-Committee responsible for investigating and reporting to the full Senate on that same disaster.
