About William
WILLIAM J. CORTELLESSA received a Bachelor of Arts from Bucknell University in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania in 1995. William earned his law degree from Pace University School of Law in 2001. While attending law school, William worked as a research assistant for Professor Ronald Jensen researching issues in corporate taxation. During the summer months, William worked for the Honorable Louis C. Pallela, in the Supreme Court, Appellate Term researching issues on Tax Certiorari. William also worked for the Westchester County District Attorneys office in the special prosecutions division.
Prior to joining the firm, William was the Compliance Officer for a New York City law firm in charge of managing compliance with the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. Previously, William worked in a Rockland County firm where he defended physicians and other health care providers in medical malpractice lawsuits. William's current practice concentrates on commercial litigation. William is admitted to practice in the State of New York in state and federal courts.
