Please describe a case in the last year or two where you made a big difference.
Last year we helped a client restructure three pieces of real estate saving her almost $5000.00 per month while putting a seller finance deal together with another client that created positive cash flow for her. The buyer client tied up a piece of real estate that ended up being needed 24 months earlier due to a condemnation of another piece so the seller is getting cashed out earlier and the buyer is building earlier overall win win.
How did you build a successful practice?
The key to our practice is listening to the client's needs and wants and then matching these with creative legal solutions that are efficient and economical.
What should clients look for in a lawyer?
Clients should look for a lawyer that responds to the client's communication in a predictable fashion.
How important is local knowledge to the success of your cases?
A working knowledge of the courts and opposing parties is crucial to develop a level of trust during the transaction. My 41 years in the area have proven valuable to create a reliable network that gives me a competitive advantage.
What information can you provide in a free phone consultation?
During the free phone consultation I usually assess the area of law they have a problem in and then advise them of the one or two directions that we can help them go down to achieve their goals.
What information do you need in a free phone consultation?
The information for a successful phone conference would include name, brief description of the problem and the client's goal or what they are seeking as an outcome.
What differentiates you from other lawyers in your community?
My distinguishing factors are my years of community contacts, over 15000 transaction experience and the organic knowledge of the different interactions of the courtroom and the boardroom.
What is the most rewarding aspect of your job?
The most rewarding aspect of my job is the feeling that I am solving problems for people that they felt were hopeless.
What are your other interests in addition to law?
I am involved in the community by serving as the trustee to a community service scholarship, I have been the head coach of the high school girls lacrosse team for the last 4 years.
