About Allen
Allen R. Sakai provides legal services and business advice to clients with real estate and business interests. He is a shareholder of JGS. Much of his current work focuses on business, corporate and real estate transactions involving contracts, agreements, corporations, limited liability companies, partnerships, business start-ups, licensing, purchases and sales, leases and condominium and homeowners associations. He also handles civil litigation, including collection-related matters such as garnishments, foreclosures and real estate contract forfeitures.
Allen's clients in commercial and residential real estate include developers, builders, escrow companies, lenders and condominium and homeowners associations. Skilled in drafting all types of real estate documents, Allen previously drafted a number of the standard legal forms used by the Washington Association of Realtors. He also taught for the Washington Association of Realtors and wrote for local business and real estate publications.
Before joining JGS, Allen worked in private practice in Seattle where he focused on real estate, corporate and commercial law, as well as tort and commercial litigation.
Admitted to the Washington Bar in 1981, Allen earned his Juris Doctorate degree (J.D.) at the University of California at Los Angeles . He is admitted to practice in the U.S. District Court, Western District of Washington, the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the Federal and Ninth Circuits, and the U.S. Supreme Court. He has a Bachelor's in Business Administration from the University of Washington . Allen's memberships include the Washington State , King County and East King County Bar Association. He was President of the East King County Bar Association and a member of the King County Bar Association Board of Trustees. He has chaired the King County Bar Association Real Property, Probate and Trust Section and is a member of the Washington State Bar Association Character and Fitness Committee. He has also been a Judge Pro Tem and arbitrator.
