About Anthony
Mr. Calero is a litigation associate whose practice includes the defense of product and general liability claims. In this area, Mr. Calero defends a small number of large self-insured corporations in a wide variety of civil matters including personal injury claims, industrial accidents, landlord-tenant disputes and defamation cases.
Before coming to Lombardi, Loper and Conant in 2000, Mr. Calero worked for Kinder, Wuerfel & Cholakian in San Francisco where he handled numerous mediations and arbitrations for a multitude of large, national insurance companies. Prior to his time at the Wuerfel firm, Mr. Calero worked for Brobeck, Phleger & Harrison in San Francisco managing asbestos litigation for single multi-national corporation. Mr. Calero also has several years of experience in criminal defense litigation, having worked for the Federal Public Defender?s office in San Francisco.
In addition to his civil practice, Mr. Calero devotes a significant amount of time to teaching and training law students at Golden Gate University School of Law. For the past several years, Mr. Calero has volunteered to assist Professor Bernard Segal with the Civil Litigation and Mock Trial programs at Golden Gate. As part of his volunteer work, Mr. Calero assists in the teaching and judging of deposition training, as well as coaching Mock Trial teams from Golden Gate that participate in competitions throughout the world.
