About Anthony
Tony Marick's practice focuses on all aspects of business and corporate law, from start up ventures to privately and publicly held companies. He advises clients on corporate governance, corporate finance, securities compliance, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and executive employment and compensation issues. Mr. Marick also represents commercial lenders, real estate developers, and franchisors and franchisees. He supervises all aspects of his client's commercial and litigation matters.
Mr. Marick's work with emerging and privately held companies includes advice on capital raising efforts and appropriate governance arrangements between owners and investors, such as shareholder, buy/sell or member control agreements. Mr. Marick has worked extensively with pre-IPO and publicly held companies with respect to securities compliance, representing issuers and selling shareholders in public and private offerings (including real estate syndications), and mergers and acquisitions. He has represented buyers and sellers in many varied M&A transactions, including asset sales, tax free reorganizations, and acquisitions or divestures of divisions.
Mr. Marick also regularly represents franchisors and franchisees, and has significant experience with disputes between majority and minority shareholders of privately held companies. He served as lead counsel on one of the largest minority shareholder claims in the country, involving a multi-billion dollar privately held company. Mr. Marick is certified by the National Association of Development Companies (NADCO) and serves as a Designated Counsel by the U.S. Small Business Administration for SBA loans.
Mr. Marick has served as an officer or director for a number of non-profit corporations. He currently serves on the Planning Commission for the City of Maple Grove, one of the fastest growing suburbs of Minneapolis.
