Ms. Sampson joined the Law Office of Richard J. Breibart, LLC in May 2008. She brings with her a wealth of knowledge and experience in the areas of criminal law and civil litigation.
Ms. Sampson earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri in 1995, and graduated from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 1998. After completing law school, Ms. Sampson worked for the Richland County Public Defender's office where she rose to the position of Deputy Chief. Ms. Sampson has handled hundreds of major and minor felony cases, including some death penalty cases. Following her time with the Public Defender's Office, Ms. Sampson joined the private practice of Duff, White & Turner, LLC, representing school districts in civil and employment litigation. While an associate with the firm, Ms. Sampson drafted various legal documents to include, pleadings, discovery requests, legal memoranda, and trial briefs.
Ms. Sampson has taught courses on evidence, criminal trial courts, race and the criminal justice system, and constitutional law as an adjunct professor at the University of South Carolina, and South University both located in Columbia, South Carolina.
