Katherine (“Katie”) Hawkins is a dedicated immigration attorney based in North Texas, with a strong commitment to serving diverse communities. She graduated from Texas A&M University School of Law and was admitted to the State Bar of Texas in 2018. Before pursuing a legal career, Ms. Hawkins worked as an elementary school teacher in South Louisiana, where she taught third and fourth graders. S. Michael Graham was born in Dallas County, Texas on November 4th, 1963, and graduated from Woodrow Wilson high school in 1982. He went on to receive his undergraduate Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature from the University of Texas at Austin in 1987. He earned his law degree from the University of Arkansas in 1991. In 1993, Mr. Graham received his Texas law license. From 1993 – 1996, Mr. Graham worked for several small law firms. In 1997 Mr. Graham started a solo law practice. Since 1997, Mr. Graham has devoted his efforts to representing injured workers at administrative hearings before the Texas Department of Insurance, Division of Workers’ Compensation and on appeal. Mr. Graham also represents injured workers in trial by jury in both county and district courts.

With over 30 years of experience in a wide range of criminal and civil matters in both the state and federal courts, this office now focuses on criminal and traffic defense but is always open to assisting with any of your legal needs. I am a native of Chicago, Illinois, and received Bachelor of Arts degrees in political science and speech communication from the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana, Illinois, spending one semester studying abroad in London and traveling all over Europe. Following that, I earned my Juris Doctorate from DePaul University in Chicago, Illinois. I moved to New Jersey following graduation from law school and was licensed by the Supreme Court of New Jersey in 1994 and the Supreme Court of New York in 1995. Moving back to Chicago, I was then licensed by the Supreme Court of Illinois in 1995, and after moving to Texas, I was licensed by the Supreme Court of Texas in 2016. I have also been admitted to practice in the United States Court of Appeals, Seventh Circuit, when I was appointed by the U.S. Court of Appeals as attorney to an inmate in his criminal appeal. I have also practiced in various state and federal courts around the country. During my practice, I have practiced in the areas of family law, corporate and securities litigation, mediation and arbitration, as well as product liability mass litigation, probate, and civil litigation. I am also a certified family law mediator. My primary focus now is on all aspects of family law including divorce, child custody, child support, visitation, and spousal support. Starting in Chicago and then New Jersey, I was blessed with three amazing children. After we moved to Texas, I was divorced from their father, took in two more children, and decided I could best help people by combining my life experiences with my abilities as a lawyer. The practice of family law involves intense emotions in the clients. Mr. Pierret attended the University of Dallas on full academic scholarship, obtaining a degree in Philosophy, and went straight to law school at St. Mary’s University in San Antonio. His first job as an attorney brought him to Fort Worth as a briefing attorney for Justices Clyde Ashworth and David Farris on the Fort Worth Court of Appeals, and he has remained in Tarrant County for the past 35 years. Mr. Pierret’s practice has always revolved around tort law, both plaintiff and defense, and he has been Board-certified in Civil Trial Law since 1991 and Personal Injury Law since 1998.
