Alex received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Northern Colorado in 2008, and his Juris doctorate from Washburn University School of Law in 2014. While in law school, Alex clerked for the Honorable Barry Grissom at the United States Attorney’s Office for the District of Kansas, and was awarded the Clinical Legal Education Association’s Outstanding Student Award for his representation of criminal defendants suffering mental disabilities. Ms. Myers joined Pearson & Paris, P.C. on January 8, 2018. Ms. Myers received her Juris Doctorate from Valparaiso University Law School. During her law school tenure, Ms. Myers served as Editor-in-Chief of the Valparaiso University Law Review and was one of the founding members and treasurer of the Asian American Pacific Islander Law Student Association. Ms. Myers also participated in the Juvenile and Family Law clinic where she served as Guardian Ad Litem in family related matters to help resolve disputes of parenting time and decision-making responsibility. Ms. Myers also appeared in the Porter County Juvenile Court as a public defender for individuals facing contempt charges for failure to pay child support. Ms. Myers was a recipient of the Hoeppner, Wagner & Evans Scholarship for outstanding commitment to the law school and was awarded the Scribes Award for demonstrating the highest levels of legal professionalism and excellence in legal writing. Ms. Austin Dominick joined Pearson & Paris, P.C. as an associate attorney in December 2020, and will focus her skillset in the areas of family law, probate, and general civil litigation. She received her Juris Doctorate from Seattle University School of Law. While in law school, Ms. Dominick served as president for the Student Animal Legal Defense Fund, and was a member of the Environmental Law Society, Health Law Society, International Law Society, and the Women’s Law Caucus. Ms. Dominick also participated in the Washington Moderate Means Practicum where she worked on matters related to family, housing, and consumer law for those who cannot afford a full fee attorney yet exceed the low-income qualifications for free legal assistance. Having been born and raised in Boulder, Colorado, Ms. Dominick is an ardent supporter of the Colorado community. She comes from a long line of distinguished lawyers and is eager to continue the family legacy of helping those in need. Ms. Dominick has experience working with diverse clients at the Seattle Civil Rights Office, the Washington Moderate Means practicum and has experience in workers compensation as well as personal injury law. Mr. Carbonneau joined Pearson and Paris, P.C. in March of 2021. Mr. Carbonneau received his Juris Doctorate from the University of Colorado Law School. During his law school tenure, Mr. Carbonneau focused on building his litigation experience. He interned for the United States Securities and Exchange Commission’s Denver Office. There, he assisted both the trial and investigations teams in the detection of financial crimes and the prosecution of those crimes. After working for the SEC, Stephen worked for the Adams County District Attorneys Office where he appeared as a prosecutor in misdemeanor and traffic cases. After graduating law school in 2018, Mr. Carbonneau was offered a position with the Grand County District Attorney’s Office. In that role, Mr. Carbonneau was responsible for all aspects of prosecuting cases. He handled everything ranging from jury trials to motions hearings, bond hearings, appeals, and plea negotiations. In April of 2020, Mr. Carbonneau left his position with the Grand County District Attorney’s Office to start his own solo law practice. While thriving as a solo practitioner, Mr. Carbonneau broadened his expertise from criminal to other areas of law such as family law and landlord-tenant disputes. Bill Van Horn has been serving the people of Colorado for decades. He was raised on a farm in Iowa, before coming to Colorado to enter the Air Force Academy as a young cadet at age 17. After graduating from the Air Force Academy in 1974, he then flew as an electronic warfare officer on the B-52 nuclear bomber in Guam and the RC-135S Cobra Ball spy plane in Alaska. He was awarded the Airman’s Medal, the highest award given by the Air Force for peacetime heroism, for rescuing fellow flyers from their aircraft when it crashed and burned. He has flown missions that took him up close and personal to the borders of North Korea and the Soviet Empire. Bill returned to Colorado after years in active duty for the Air Force to earn a law degree from The University of Denver Law School, while he continued to serve our country by joining the Air Force Reserve, and flew for 20 years on the C-130 Lockheed Hercules with combat flying time in three United States conflicts. Bill graduated from the United States Air Force Academy with a B.S. in International Affairs in 1974 and from the Air War College in 1998. After serving in the Air Force, Bill returned to the University of Denver and graduated in 1987 with a J.D. While in law school, Bill served as the Managing Editor of the Transportation Law Journal for 1986-1987. During Bill’s early law career he clerked for a Federal Judge and was a former Senior Litigation Attorney with the U.S. Department of Justice. Bill moved into the area of family law and is recognized as a prominent and highly respected professional in his field. Bill and his wife Penni have five adult children, four daughters-in-love, and five grandchildren. Bill has attended a Tuesday Sunrise Bible Study for several decades, loves to hike with his lab, Coal, stay informed about the community and national issues, and play with the “Grands.” Bill and Penni attend Red Rocks Church.

Stan was born in Buffalo, New York but has lived in Colorado for the past 25 years. He is a former City Councilmember and Mayor Pro-Tem for the City and County of Broomfield. When he is not working, Stan enjoys spending time in the mountains with his wife and children.

Ray Goodwin has been practicing law since 1985. For the past 25 years his practice has emphasized estate, corporate, real estate and business matters. Mr. Goodwin has lived in Colorado since 1982. Mr. Goodwin attended the University of Utah and received two B.S. degrees in Accounting and Finance. In 1982, Mr. Goodwin received a J.D. from California Western School of Law in San Diego, California. While in law school, he was a teaching assistant for legal research and writing. Concurrently he was a Lecturer teaching Accounting at San Diego State University. In 1982, Mr. Goodwin received his license as a Certified Public Accountant, and he worked at Ernst & Whinney (nka Ernst & Young). In 1985, Mr. Goodwin worked for Manulife in its Advanced Underwriting division. In 1988 Mr. Goodwin went into private practice. Mr. Goodwin is admitted to practice before the Colorado Supreme Court; United States District Court and the United States Tax Court. From 1986 through 1994 Mr. Goodwin authored and updated tax planning guides for Tax Planning for Closely Held Businesses. Those guides were published by the Colorado Society of Certified Public Accountants and used in their national continuing education programs, where Mr. Goodwin lectured throughout the country. Currently Mr. Goodwin is primarily involved in office practice, but his earlier years were spent in the courtroom. Mr. Goodwin’s current practice involves the representation of owners, buyers, sellers, developers and lenders involved in real estate and the representation of business and corporate clients invoiced in both real estate and other businesses. For estate planning clients, Mr. Goodwin has drafted many wills, trusts and organizational plans for extensive business holdings (mostly in real estate) and probate work for decedents and their beneficiaries. In the community Mr. Goodwin has served on the Board of Directors for the Colorado Credit Union since 2007 and is currently the Vice-Chairman of the board. Mr. Goodwin is married and has three children and that is where his main interest is in watching them grow and serve.
