Jack began his career with the Virginia Beach Police Department, where he gained firsthand experience presenting cases for the Commonwealth. After graduating from Christopher Newport University, Jack attended Regent University School of Law while continuing to work full-time as a police officer. Following law school, Jack served in the Southampton Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office, where he prosecuted criminal cases and developed strong courtroom experience. Today, he represents clients throughout Western Tidewater and has successfully handled numerous personal injury and criminal cases, including several jury trials resulting in not guilty verdicts and dismissals. A resident of Southampton County, Jack is a member of the Southampton County Fraternal Order of Police and the bar associations for Suffolk, Southampton County, and Isle of Wight County. Before becoming an attorney, Carter served in the United States Marine Corps. Inspired by his natural ability for advocacy and public speaking, he later pursued a legal career and earned his law degree from Regent University School of Law. Carter spent many years building and managing his own solo practice before joining a Virginia-based law firm, where he served as a lead attorney handling a broad range of family law matters. His experience leading legal teams and managing complex caseloads has given him extensive insight into both litigation strategy and client care. Known for his confidence in the courtroom and passion for advocacy, Carter enjoys helping clients understand the legal process and guiding them toward practical solutions during emotionally difficult situations.
