About Chad

Chad Marchand received his Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Sciences from Auburn University in 1997 and earned his J.D. from Cumberland School of Law at Samford University , graduating cum laude, in 2000. While at Cumberland, Chad served as the Editor in Chief of the American Journal of Trial Advocacy, was chosen as winner of the Judge James O. Haley Mock Trial Competition, served as a Cordell Hull Legal Research and Writing Teaching Fellow, participated in the Justice Shores Moot Court Competition, and was a member of the Cumberland Trial Advocacy Board. Additionally he received Scholar of Merit Awards in Real Estate Transactions and Worker's Compensation and remained on the Dean's List for his entire law school career.

Chad presently serves as Vice-Chair on the American Bar Association Tort, Trial and Insurance Section's Commercial Transportation Litigation Committee and is a member of the American Inns of Court, the Alabama State Bar, the Defense Research Institute, the American Association for Justice, and the National Association of Subrogation Professionals.  He has written materials and given presentations on Physician Employment Contracts; Handling the Auto Injury Claim, Settling Uninsured and Underinsured Motorist Claims; Document Gathering, Production and Management for Litigation Paralegals in Alabama; and Advanced Legal Drafting for Alabama Paralegals.  He is also admitted to practice law in Florida and Mississippi.
