About Charles

Charles Wesley Durham was born in 1954, in Taylor County, Kentucky; growing up in a large family with Christian values he developed a strong work ethic and sense of service early in life. After graduating from Campbellsville, High School in 1972, he attended Campbellsville University until 1974, when he enlisted in the United States Army for three years. Wesley concluded his undergraduate degree with High Distinction at Eastern Kentucky University in 1979 and was inducted into the Alpha Kappa Delta, National Honor Society.

Wesley then taught at Fort Knox Family Schools for seven years and obtained his Masters Degree from Western Kentucky University and was named to the National Deans List in 1981. While teaching, Wesley attended the University Of Louisville School Of Law graduating cum laude, receiving his Juris Doctorate Degree in 1986. While in law school, Wesley was inducted into the Brandeis Honor Society, based on his academic achievement, and Phi Kappa Phi, National Honor Society, and Sigma Delta Kappa National Legal Honor Society. Wesley received the American Jurisprudence Award and Corpus Juris Secondom Award for significant Legal Scholarship upon receiving the top grade in Criminal Law, Basic Tax, Secured Transactions, and Legal Writing. Wesley was also a member of the U of L Christian Law Caucus. While teaching and attending Law school, Wesley was a mentor in the Moot Court Program, teaching and coaching middle and high school students in mock trial competitions. Wesley has been a partner in the law firm of Miller and Durham since January, 1987. Wesley is admitted to practice before all courts of the Commonwealth of Kentucky, The United States District Court for the Western District of Kentucky and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. Wesley is a member of the local bar association and has served as a volunteer in Teen Court.

Wesley is married to Marilyn Durham and has two sons, Joshua and Matthew and a daughter Jenafier. Marilyn is a retired teacher who served pre-school and primary children at Fort Knox Family Schools for thirty years. The Durham's are both active members of Franklin Crossroad's Baptist Church. Wesley currently serves as a Sunday School Teacher, on church committees, and as a Deacon. Wesley is also active in the Campbellsville Emmaus Ministry and has worked in missions ministry and prison ministries in Costa Rica, Nicaragua, and locally.
