Questions & Answers
Please describe a case in the last year or two where you made a big difference.
A nursing home administrator was fired because she objected to the poor treatment the owner of the nursing home was providing the patients and because she notified the board of health. The company had her arrested for alleged theft of documents and denied her unemployment benefits. She was blacklisted in the nursing home industry and had to file bankruptcy due to her inability to obtain employment. I sued the company and after 2 years of litigation, I settled the case for $2.1 million. My client took her settlement and opened her own nursing home and made sure the elderly received the high-quality care they deserved.
What should clients look for in a lawyer?
The main qualities a client should seek in a lawyer are honesty, experience, competence, empathy, and the desire to win the case even if it becomes very difficult.
What differentiates you from other lawyers in your community?
I really enjoy the challenges of practicing personal injury law and am passionate and dedicated to providing the highest quality legal services that are available. I am a personal injury specialist who focuses on only this area of practice, while other lawyers have numerous areas of practice which prevents many from knowing everything they need to know about personal injury law.
What is the most rewarding aspect of your job?
Meeting new clients and helping them with the many problems they are faced with after an injury. Once the case is over, many clients call me their friend, bring me gifts, and show their appreciation in their reviews and referrals.
What are your other interests in addition to law?
I enjoy working in the community to help others, being involved in political campaigns, and traveling to new places.
