Please describe a case in the last year or two where you made a big difference.
a) I was able to get a sexual battery case dismissed. Client was facing life in prison. b) I've gotten DUIs reduced or dismissed. c) I recently won a child abuse trial.
How did you build a successful practice?
Hard work and a lot of hours. Take care of each client as if were a family member.
What should clients look for in a lawyer?
a) Lawyer must be qualified and competent. I've been in practice for 24 years. I've worked for 6 years as a prosecutor. I've handled thousands of cases. b) Client must feel comfortable with lawyer. This is a serious event for a client. Client must have a relationship with their lawyer such that the client knows that the lawyer is working hard to protect the client. The lawyer must be available to the client. c) Lawyer must be affordable. I work with people on payment plans.
How important is local knowledge to the success of your cases?
a) I am very familiar with the prosecutors and judges across north FL. This can be useful in crafting appropriate dispositions for the case.

Depending on the information provided by the potential client, I can provide an overview of how I would approach the case and a price estimate.
What information do you need in a free phone consultation?
For a criminal case, the most important information initially is the police report.
What differentiates you from other lawyers in your community?
a) I am well qualified. b) I put a lot of work into my cases, doing everything I can to get good results for my client.
What is the most rewarding aspect of your job?
I enjoy helping people. In particular, I want to make sure that the criminal justice system treats all people fairly.
What are your other interests in addition to law?
Sports and my family.

I have coached several sports teams. I am also on the Board of Trustees for Capital Regional Medical Center.
