Chris Wehrman represents clients in a variety of litigation matters involving family law issues including dissolution of marriage proceedings; custody, visitation and parenting time disputes; spousal support (previously known as alimony); child support; domestic violence; prenuptial and postnuptial agreements; adoptions; and, post-decree actions. Chris also has trial experience in other areas of law including personal injury, commercial, and other civil matters.

While Chris’ focus is litigation, he has also completed the Divorce Mediation Skills Training through Northwestern University and uses the skill set to help resolve issues without litigation when appropriate or feasible.  He is also a mediator.

Chris is a former Big Ten athlete who qualified for both the 2004 and 2008 Men’s U.S. Olympic Team Trials in the marathon.  Chris formerly served as a board member and President of the Chicago Area Runners’ Association (CARA) and is a currently an invited Nike+ running coach for the Chicago Nike Running Club.
