As a young lawyer, Michael spent several years working for two of Atlanta’s premier insurance defense firms. He represented locally and nationally-known trucking companies, automobile insurers, and premises liability insurers in defense of lawsuits filed by accident victims. When Mike made a career move to the plaintiff’s side, his tenure in the large law firm environment and representation of prominent insurance companies provided Mike the experience necessary to obtain hundreds of favorable settlements and verdicts for his personal injury clients. After a decade of practicing law in Atlanta, Michael and his wife Bren decided it was time to move back to Bren’s hometown of Greenville, SC so they could help accident victims in the Upstate area and be a part of a beautiful, growing city. Michael’s experience in Atlanta’s fast-paced environment gives him a big advantage, as he has seen every type of injury and fact pattern and knows how to maximize the value of every case. Michael Melonakos was born in Monroe, Michigan and graduated from Michigan State University, where he majored in finance and international business and was the president of his fraternity. After graduation, Mike headed down to the University of Georgia for law school, and he’s been in the South ever since. While at UGA Law, Mike served as a notes editor for the Journal of Intellectual Property, was a teacher’s assistant to first-year law students in Contracts, and co-founded the Business Law Society. He credits his work ethic and compassion for our clients to his father and grandparents. When not working for his personal injury clients, Michael volunteers for the Greenville Bar Association. He regularly volunteers at his children’s schools and attends St. George Greek Orthodox Cathedral. Attorney Andrew C. Barr’s practice areas include personal injury, workers’ compensation, and product liability. Andrew graduated from the University of South Carolina School of Law and has been practicing law since 1989. He has represented persons in all courts including family court, circuit court, magistrates court, property damage arbitration, mediation, federal court, the SC Court of Appeals and the SC Supreme Court. Andrew has been practicing law since 1989, when he received his J.D. from the University of South Carolina School of Law. Andrew has a wife and four kids. He is an avid LSU fan and the entire family enjoys traveling to different sporting events. He and his wife enjoy traveling and spending time on the Florida coast. Andrew was an ardent golfer until his passions turned towards fishing and hunting.

A native of Greenville, South Carolina, Mr. Haskins graduated from the University of South Carolina in Columbia, where he obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Political Science and interned with the South Carolina House of Representatives, the South Carolina Senate, and worked as a Special Assistant in the Public Affairs Division for the South Carolina Office of the Attorney General. Mr. Haskins then attended Florida Coastal School of Law in Jacksonville, where he obtained his Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree. At Florida Coastal, he was Parliamentarian of the Student Bar Association Legislature and Chief Justice of the Honor Court. Having graduated Florida Coastal in two and one-half years, Mr. Haskins passed the Alaska Bar Examination and became a Member of the Alaska Bar Association. After Florida Coastal, he attended American University Washington College of Law in Washington, D.C., where he obtained his Master of Law (LL.M.) degree in Law & Government, specializing in Law, Politics, and Legislation, with a concentration on Civil & Constitutional Rights. While at American, he interned in the United States Senate and was a Legal Fellow for United States Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC). Mr. Haskins also helped found the Alaska Bar Association Federal Regulatory Practice Section in Washington, D.C. Returning to South Carolina, Mr. Haskins passed the South Carolina Bar Examination and became a Member of the South Carolina Bar. Mr. Haskins worked in firms in Greenville and Charleston, gaining valuable experience in handling family law, estate planning, and real estate legal issues. In addition to his law practice, Mr. Haskins is a Realtor, Notary Public in South Carolina, and President of the Charleston Chapter of the University of South Carolina Alumni Association.

Chase Keibler grew up outside of Pittsburgh, PA in a blue-collar town before he and his family moved to South Carolina in 2013. Chase holds true to his core values: hard work through teamwork and drive, justice through vision and planning, and service through commitment to others. Chase graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania (“IUP”), located about 60 miles outside of Pittsburgh. While at IUP, Chase met his wife, Laura, played ACHA Division I hockey, and served as the captain of the hockey team his senior year. Chase graduated IUP with a Bachelor of Arts in English, Pre-law and a minor degree in Political Science, and he was an ACHA Academic All American his junior and senior year. During his sophomore year at IUP, he started the IUP Pre-Law Society and served as its President for three years. For six years throughout the final years of high school and while getting his undergraduate degree, Chase worked as a roofer laying shingles. Following IUP, Chase studied law at The University of South Carolina School of Law. He graduated in the top 15% of the class, cum laude, and Order of the Wig and Robe and served as the Senior Articles Editor of the South Carolina Law Review and as a Judicial Extern for Judge Michelle Childs in the District of South Carolina. Following law school, Chase began his career as a trial attorney at Nexsen Pruet, LLC – one of the region’s largest and well-respected law firms. While at Nexsen Pruet, Chase represented both plaintiffs and defendants in state and federal court and had a diverse litigation practice, handling matters related to federal antitrust cartels, unfair trade practice, complex commercial and business litigation, personal injury and related insurance actions, and land use litigation. Chase successfully represented businesses in multi-million-dollar disputes including prosecuting price-fixing antitrust cartels, breach of contract claims, and bad faith insurance claims for insurer’s failure to cover or defend an insured. Chase also represented individual plaintiffs who suffered personal injuries including dog bites, bed bugs, and injuries caused by the government. Importantly, Chase represented insurance companies in truck accidents and car accidents. While representing insurance companies, Chase learned how they value cases, he saw how they treat injured individuals, and he learned how they operate. Chase is licensed in both North Carolina and South Carolina. He is a proven trial attorney and has considerable courtroom experience, trying numerous bench and jury trials to verdict. He tried cases on behalf of injured individuals, corporate plaintiffs, and insurance companies.

Kelly Burnside is the founding owner of Burnside Law Firm, LLC. Kelly focuses on personal injury, workers compensation and social security disablity. She was a founding partner at Oswald & Burnside, LLC in West Columbia and also a partner at the Law Offices of Robert Dodson, PA. before opening her own firm, Burnside Law Firm, LLC in West Columbia, South Carolina. Ms. Burnside received her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in Finance and Real Estate from the University of South Carolina in 2006 and her Juris Doctor from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 2013. Prior to opening Burnside Law Firm, Ms. Burnside was a partner at two local law firms in the Columbia area. An active member in her West Columbia community circle, Ms. Burnside is also a member of the South Carolina Injured Workers’ Advocates, South Carolina Association for Justice, South Carolina Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, South Carolina Women Lawyers Association, and the Lexington County Bar Association. Ms. Burnside was elected by her peer recognition and professional achievement in 2021 as Top Attorneys in South Carolina Rising Stars, Super Lawyers Rising Stars 2021, Lawyers of Distinction for Recognizing Excellence in Personal Injury Law in 2021 and Elite Lawyer in 2022.
