About Crystal

Crystal M. Ullrich, Esq. is admitted to practice law in the State of New Jersey and the United States District Court, District of New Jersey.  Crystal’s clients benefit from her extensive litigation background in family, civil, and criminal defense matters. Her experience litigating criminal defense matters is particularly helpful to not only her accused clients, but her clients dealing with domestic violence matters, as well. She is highly skilled with all aspects of litigation, including trials, motions, discovery issues, and depositions. Additionally, Crystal has successfully tried cases for her clients in State and Federal Courts, in all areas of family law, including divorce, alimony, equitable distribution of assets, child custody (local and international), relocation, abduction, child support, and domestic violence.  Crystal is especially attentive to the needs of children in a divorce or custody matter.

Crystal actively participates in the Family Law Sections of the State and County Bar Associations where she is involved in facilitating close relationships between local attorneys and judges and presenting Continuing Legal Education seminars to fellow attorneys on updates and changes in the law. Through her memberships in the Municipal Court Committees of the State and County Bar Associations, Crystal has also volunteered her time to lead Continuing Legal Education seminars.  She has been selected as a Super Lawyer’s Rising Star in both 2019 and 2020.  She was also chosen as the 10 Best Attorneys for Exceptional and Outstanding Client Service from the American Institute of Family Law Attorneys.

Crystal volunteers as a Matrimonial Early Settlement Panelist in Middlesex County.  She is also a volunteer and speaker at Metuchen High School’s yearly Senior Seminar to help students understand their responsibilities in the community and how to best deal with social issues facing our youth.

Crystal received a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice from Seton Hall University with a minor in Psychology, and a Juris Doctorate from Seton Hall University School of Law, focusing her studies on family law, criminal law, and domestic violence.

During law school, Crystal was a judicial intern for the Honorable David B. Katz, J.S.C. in the Family Division of the Superior Court of New Jersey, Essex County. This experience provided an unparalleled opportunity to explore custody, parenting time, and other family law issues from all sides.
