About Daniel
Mr. Butler practices in the area of Family Law in both Minnesota and Wisconsin. He is greatly experienced at handling matters of marital dissolution, spousal maintenance, custody, child support, paternity, parenting time, and cases involving domestic abuse. He has practiced in the field for over twenty-eight years.
Mr. Butler's article, "Fathers Get the Shaft in Family Law Proceedings" was published in Minnesota Law & Politics in December 1995. He has served as an instructor, teaching at the Minnesota Family Law Institute on the subject of High Conflict Divorce, and at the Minnesota Interdisciplinary Committee On Divorce in the areas of custody and parenting time dispute resolution. He has Martindale-Hubbell's highest "AV" peer review rating.
Daniel Butler earned a Bachelors of Science Degree with distinction from the University of Minnesota in 1973, graduated from William Mitchell College of Law in 1979, and he was admitted to the U.S. Supreme Court in 1989. He is a member of the Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Ramsey County Bar Associations.
