A lady who had just remarried needed assistance moving to be with her new husband. Her ex-husband objected to her relocating with their minor child. The case was complicated because she and her ex shared joint custody and equal time with their child. I took the case to trial and on cross-examination of her ex I proved that my client was the primary parent. The judge then permitted the relocation.

I am a very hard worker, but sometimes hard work by itself is not enough. The culture of our law firm is based on aggressive training and professional development. My continuing education has had a positive compound effect on my practice because at various educational institutions I have connected with other likeminded attorneys from all over the United States. I have a strong referral base due to my work ethic, track record of success, and those contacts.

The ability to take a case all the way, especially against an uncooperative or obstructive opponent, is a critical skill. Many lawyers do not know how to close out a case when the other side is unreasonable or will not communicate. My commitment to trial skills is based on this concept. I know how to take a case to the finish line when the other side will not negotiate or appropriately participate in the litigation process.

Local knowledge is very important. Beyond knowledge, reputation is really critical. Even when we are outsiders and new to a venue, our reputation for civility, legal knowledge, and outcomes precedes us.

In an initial call, I am able to confirm whether I offer services in the particular area of law that the caller needs, and, if not, I can provide a referral to a lawyer that works in that field.

I will need the contact information of the potential client and the identity of the adverse party so we can run a conflict check.

I am fluent in German and Arabic, so I am unique in that respect. My advocacy skills separate me in several ways. I am able to take a case all the way. Because I am resolution-oriented, I maintain a big picture view and don't get caught up in the silly fights and arguments that do not advance the case.

My clients are most happy when they have closure. Even in those cases where the outcome is different from what they expected, most people are happy to put the conflict behind them and move forward with their lives. I am happy to be a part of providing them with resolution.
