About Darrell
Darrell Uptegraft was born in Michigan, but lived in many parts of the country on wildlife refuges as his father was a refuge manager for the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service. Darrell attended San Francisco State University and studied marine biology and chemistry. After exploring his interest in science, Darrell set his sights on law school and enrolled in the University of Puget Sound School of Law.
Darrell started clerking for Ryan Sells Uptegraft, Inc. P.S. in 1981 and continued to clerk for the firm while attending law school. Darrell joined Ryan Sells Uptegraft, Inc. P.S., as an associate attorney and is now a full partner in the firm. He has had broad experience during his career, but has focused his practice in the area of plaintiff's personal injury.
Darrell is an Eagle member of the Washington State Trial Lawyer's Association and an active member of the Kitsap County Bar Association, serving as its President in 1999.
Darrell lives in the Bremerton area with his wife Kacey who is a teacher for the Bremerton School District. Darrell and Kacey are avid gardeners and landscapers who also enjoy snow skiing and boating when they are not otherwise out digging in the dirt.
