David B. Kaplan, Esq. is a lawyer and proctor in admiralty who has specialized in litigation for more than fifty-five years. His trial practice, though primarily focused upon Admiralty and Maritime Law, includes Product Liability, Automobile, Negligence, Personal Injury and General Liability.
Mr. Kaplan is a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps (1945-1946) and is highly regarded in the federal court system where he has argued extensively before various courts of appeal, including the United States Supreme Court, the First Circuit Court of Appeals, and the Massachusetts Appeals Court. He has earned an AV rating from Martindale-Hubbell the highest rating available in recognition of his attainment of the height of professional excellence and the highest levels of skill and integrity.
He is a former member of the Massachusetts Bar Association (Chair of the Boston Admiralty and Maritime Section, 1975-1982, Massachusetts Trial Practice Committee, 1970-1975), the American Bar Association, the Maritime Law Association (U.S.), and a current member of the American Association for Justice (Committee Member, 1965-1968, Board of Governors, 1968-1970, Chairman of Admiralty and Maritime Section, 1970-1972).
