Questions & Answers

Please describe a case in the last year or two where you made a big difference.

The most recent case I made a big difference is where I was were able to prove to the court that a mother, who was vindictive and did not much care how it affected her son, was not fit to maintain shared parental responsibility. The Court modified parental responsibility so that the father could make all decisions and reduced the amount of time the Mother shared with her son. Extremely satisfying result based upon the horrendous misconduct on the part of the mother.

How important is local knowledge to the success of your cases?

Local knowledge is extremely important. For example, the process to schedule a hearing before a judge is not as easy as one might think. Also, being familiar with the judges on the family bench and recent case law coming from our district is always helpful when making an argument to the Court.

What information can you provide in a free phone consultation?

I can provide a basic understanding of the issues involved in the case and provide general knowledge on how to proceed based upon the facts as presented over the telephone.

What information do you need in a free phone consultation?

The information needed during a free phone consultation is basic. The length of time the parties have resided in Florida; the number of years they were married; the number and ages of the children, if any; whether there are there any issues involving domestic violence; what are the approximate gross incomes of the parties; and whether the parties have assets or debts that will need to be divided.

What differentiates you from other lawyers in your community?

Assisting people who generally very nice people but that are going through a very difficult time and may very well not be acting at their best. To do so, it requires a tremendous amount of patience, experience and an understanding of the parties and their ultimate goals.
