About David
David L. Weir was born and raised in Illinois, first venturing to Wisconsin to attend Beloit College. After graduating from Beloit College with a B.A. in Economics and Management (cum laude) in 1980, he went on to receive his law degree from Marquette University (cum laude) in 1983. He immediately began his law practice in Milwaukee, representing injured workers in claims for Worker's Compensation and Social Security Disability benefits, with the firm of Zubrensky and Weir. After nearly 25 years of practice in Milwaukee, he joined Stafford & Neal S.C. in 2007. Over the years, David has lectured extensively on the topic of Wisconsin Worker's Compensation benefits to a variety of audiences at union seminars, continuing legal education seminars, and the Wisconsin School for Workers. He has also been quite active in representing the interests of workers as a legal advisor to the Labor members of the Wisconsin Worker's Compensation Advisory Council, the body responsible for recommending changes to the Worker's Compensation Act to the state legislature.
David is married with two children. In his spare time, his hobby/passion is racing radio controlled cars, and enjoys competing at both local and national events with his teenage son.
