About Davina
Davina Bloom was born in Boston, Massachusetts, and has two older brothers. Although she was born in Boston, she grew up in New Orleans, Louisiana. Ms. Bloom enjoys playing sports including volleyball, soccer, and racquetball. Ms. Bloom has placed in singles, doubles, and mixed doubles championships on a State, Regional, National, and World level. Aside from sports, Ms. Bloom enjoys traveling.
Since Ms. Bloom comes from a diverse background, she has always enjoyed the study of people, traveling, and has always had an appreciation for different languages. Ms. Bloom's litigation practice mirrors that of the Watkins Firm. She has litigated complex business cases, employment cases, construction defect matters, trade secret litigation and real estate cases.
Prior to entering law school, Ms. Bloom was awarded an academic tuition scholarship to attend California Western School of Law. During law school, Ms. Bloom served as a Co-President of the Entertainment and Sports Law Society, as well as a board member of the Jewish Student Union. In 2004, she received a Wiley W. Manuel Award from the State Bar of California for her Pro Bono legal services to members of the community.
Ms. Bloom lived in New Orleans until she moved to Gainesville, Florida to attend the University of Florida. She graduated college with honors with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology, and a minor in Spanish. During college, Ms. Bloom played racquetball, and placed in the intercollegiate championship for her school. Due to her love for traveling, she spent her last summer in college abroad in Paris, France trying to learn the language for the first time.
