About Ellen
Ellen Sakany has over 20 years of experience in the legal system. She is licensed in Colorado, New York, and New Jersey.
Upon graduation from law school, Ms. Sakany clerked for a matrimonial judge in Bergen County, NJ. She also worked there as a public defender, trying criminal cases on a frequent basis. While in private practice, she focused on litigation. Ms. Sakany has successfully tried and settled a number of personal injury cases, including obtaining a personal injury settlement for $1.9 million in New Jersey.
For the last 10 years, Ms. Sakany has focused primarily on providing litigation support to other attorneys. On a daily basis she appears in court to attend conferences, argue motions, and appear at hearings. She has defended and conducted hundreds of depositions in all types of civil litigation.
Along with her vast experience in the courtroom, Ms. Sakany has experience in all facets of litigation preparation. She has written appellate briefs and motions that have resulted in favorable published written decisions in New York State.
