About Eric
Eric A. Handler is a partner at Donahue Gallagher Woods LLP, specializing in intellectual property law, commercial litigation, and bankruptcy. Mr. Handler's intellectual property practice is diverse and includes litigation of all aspects of copyright and trademark matters, Internet domain name disputes, management and litigation of personality rights, filing and opposing registration applications, and transactional licensing. He has experience in a wide range of business law matters involving employment law, contract disputes, construction litigation, mechanics liens, unlawful detainer actions, complex asbestos litigation, judgment enforcement and collection, and representation of creditors and debtors.
Mr. Handler earned his law degree summa cum laude, Order of the Coif, from the University of Arizona College of Law in 2001. During law school, he both interned at the United States Department of Justice and analyzed the legal ramifications of proposed water supply augmentation projects under consideration for Southern Arizona with a grant he obtained from the State of Arizona. Mr. Handler received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Environmental Studies from Brown University in 1995.
Prior to law school, Mr. Handler worked extensively in the computer software industry as a software developer and management consultant. In this capacity he worked for the Microsoft Corporation assisting developers using the Microsoft Visual Basic programming language with database connectivity issues.
Mr. Handler is a member of the State Bar of California, the State Bar of Arizona, the American Bar Association, and the Alameda County Bar Association. Recently he passed the examination for admission to the Colorado State Bar.
