Settlement of $900,000.00 shortly before trial. Automobile collision personal injury – married female in her 50’s. Our client had been diagnosed with cervical torticollis following a traffic collision. The diagnosis was disputed by the defense who argued the client was simply malingering. Litigation resulted in a settlement of $900,000.00 shortly before trial. $2,950,000 Settlement for surviving family for Wrongful Death Wrongful death –married female in her 50’s with one child. An unsafe median divider failed, when it was struck by a vehicle traveling at a high speed. The vehicle flipped into the air and continued into opposing traffic where it impacted our client’s vehicle. Our client sustained fatal injuries. The defendant State of California paid $2,950,000.00 to settle the wrongful death claims of the surviving family members. Recovery of $1,100,000.00 for Motorcycle Personal Injury Motorcycle Collision personal injury –unmarried male in his 20’s Our client was injured when the defendant changed lanes into the path of his motorcycle. There was no evidence of impact between the motorcycle and vehicle. The defense disputed liability, and also argued excessive speed by the motorcyclist. Prior to trial, we located a witness to the incident who had relocated out of state. This witness provided video deposition testimony leading to a recovery of $1,100,000.00. Recovered $225,000 for personal injury Motorcycle collision personal injury – unmarried male in his 20’s Our client was injured by a hit and run motorist who was never identified after fleeing the scene. Despite an insurance coverage dispute, we recovered $225,000 on behalf of our client. Recovered a lump sum payment of $1,787,000, future payments of $1,250,000 plus $3,500 a month for life Vehicle collision personal injury – unmarried male in his 20’s Our client, was on a test drive in a new vehicle when a school bus turned directly in front of the vehicle. The defendant school district argued excessive speed of the vehicle was the cause of the collision. We recovered a lump sum payment of $1,787,000, guaranteed future annuity payments of $1,250,000, plus $3,500 a month for life, on behalf of our client.
