Altman & Associates

I was planning on hiring Altman & Associates to handle an estate. They really came off as a wonderful firm that could handle everything required. However, after speaking to Katherine in the Maryland office I was absolutely disappointed and disgusted at how blatantly rude and disrespectful she was towards me during one of the most difficult times of my life. I had only one question before retaining the firm and was willing to make a payment for that question, or even pay an hourly fee due to time sensitivity that was of utmost importance. She basically shouted at me and treated me like trash. I do not recommend this firm because of her! I am glad I found another firm that was able to assist me with the respect everyone deserves while dealing with loss. The other firm answered my one question without charge, with the respect, and with understanding of the emotional pain I was dealing with. I chose to hire them because of their kindness, compassion, and assistance. It really is a shame that this one attorney will cause the firm to lose business and bring a bad reputation for everyone else.

We had an excellent experience with Altman & Associates who prepared our estate documents. After an initial meeting with Gary Altman, documents were soon prepared for review and updated as necessary in one short meeting. The final document signing meeting was efficient and took very little time. The new documents were a significant improvement over our previous set of wills and end of life documents.

These lawyers are very serious about their clients and are also very passionate about what they can con tribute to their local community. Work was done in very short time and covered my extensive estate work needs. Reasonable prices and top quality work.

Called on Monday to ask to speak to someone about a will and let the person on the phone know it needed to be done sooner rather than later. I was told I would receive an email to upload my docs and fill out a questionnaire. 24 hours went by no email. I called back and the person on the phone said, "oh yea we did not write down your email". No big deal we fixed that part. It was time for my zoom meeting and after 10 minutes past the agreed time, I called to ask where the lawyer was. The person on the phone said hold on let me find someone. After about 5 minutes she came back on and said, we do not have a credit card from you on file. They had 4 days to ask for payment. Just had a bad felling about this firm. To many other lawyers out there that can do a simple will.

Mr. Altman and his associates are outstanding lawyers who are very concerned about the welfare if their clients. They provided outstanding legal advice and are on top of evolving regulations. They wrote my families' wills, trusts, and expertly administered their execution. I highly recommend them. Jack Guttmann
