About Law Firm
Vince Amberly is a 1979 graduate of the University of Virginia Law School. As a litigator for the past 25 years, Vince has provided litigation and business advice.
In the early 1980's, Vince served as the Deputy Attorney General in charge of the Antitrust Division and the Office of Consumer Protection in the Delaware Attorney General's Office. He then worked at the Federal Trade Commission ("FTC") in the FTC's Bureau of Consumer Protection handling consumer fraud litigation, business opportunity and franchise enforcement.
In 1987, Vince left the FTC and joined the oldest intellectual property law firm in Washington, D.C. (Mason, Fenwick & Lawrence) where he was a partner for several years. While at Mason, Fenwick, Vince handled trademark enforcement for several large national and international companies. He coordinated trademark, copyright and patent litigation in federal courts throughout the United States. During this period, Vince also argued successfully in several U.S. Courts of Appeal, including the Fourth, Fifth, Eleventh and Federal Circuits.
During the past ten (10) years, Vince has provided business law services and general litigation and counseling support to a number of national, regional and local clients. While many of the firm's clients are based in the Washington, D.C. area, most clients of Amberly & Associates have business interests and/or litigation concerns throughout the United States.
