My husband and I hired this law firm to help me get my green card. Our case was simple and we didn’t have any complications such as deportation or anything of that sort. The first meeting with Andrea (the lawyer) she showed professionalism and that she is willing to help us file our I -130 and I-485. We paid all the fees she asked for. Since that day we started only dealing with her assistants, each week a new assistant would take our case without even informing us. Two years pass by and I wouldn’t even receive my work authorization which only takes 6 months.We would call and ask what’s going on and it’s always her assistants making up excuses and blaming immigration. Turns out her assistant didn’t send enough documents with my file to USCIS. We were obliged to hire another lawyer to help us and pay more money .We felt highly discriminated against because we are not Brazilian. The last thing she did after we communicated our concerns to her. She just sent us a document to sign that she is not representing us anymore, which i don’t think she ever did. Her assistant would also send me emails in Portuguese knowing that I only speak English and Arabic.
