Best choice hands down dealing with Child Custody battle with my sons father. He wanted to play games with me and I knew some good word of mouth about Kara and I am so glad I went with her, she is one that doesn’t play games, she gets right to it and gets it done the right way and the way it should be done. doesn’t beat around the bush. She plays fair and by the law. She gets to the point and will tell you how it is and how it will be done. She is a little more pricey but you get what you pay for. I came out fair and reasonable with my sons father. Better then any attorney I think could have done. I have nothing but good things to say about The Barton Law Office such a great strong team. My experience with Barton Law Offices was one that was not expected, but has prompted me to actually write about it. This has been an incredibly difficult few years for me, and these types of situations, namely needing any type of legal assistance with your family, can be trying at best. I was concerned about even contacting a law firm, but when it became necessary, I looked at several. I finally retained Kara Barton of Barton Law Offices in Salt Lake City, and here are a few of the reasons I am relieved that I did. First of all, this is a small firm, which means that they care about assisting you through each step of whatever your process may be and seeing your case through to the 'best possible result.' Secondly, both Kara Barton and Ashley Wood are incredibly knowledgeable and well trained in their professions. They were true professionals and treated every party involved in my case with respect and the utmost sensitivity. They had all the answers, and assisted me through all the processes in a way that adapted to my particular needs. They know, and I believe, love to practice the law. I know that things could have easily escalated otherwise, which sadly usually results in years of cost and poor situations, normally for our children, and I can't express enough gratitude that this is the way they are running the firm. I felt all through the process that I was being treated honestly, with great sensitivity to my individual needs, and that they were there for me on all levels, both professionally, and as all around kind individuals. I truly appreciate being able to move on with my life now, with an agreeable and workable end for myself, and my children, and even my ex-wife. I feel that of all the firms that I could have entered agreements, I am so grateful to this one for their assistance the past year.

I have known Kara Barton and her law partner Ashley Wood for many years. I can say that they both have your best interest in any case that is presented to them. I have had Kara handle a few items for me personally and she is very professional, respectful, organized and knows the laws. I would never hesitate to refer or recommend them in any case. I would give them a 10 star if that was an option.

Best I can say is that Kara Lee Barton is way shady and it is in your best interest to stay away. My son hired her a few years back for a custody case and Kara placed her own profit margin above the safety and welfare of the kids - which was well documented with DCFS and the police. Currently, Kara is only a part-time lawyer and a part-time rancher with Sun Valley Grass Fed Beef... hope she treats the cows better than her clients.

I arrived in Kara's office broken, my ex had been playing dirty tricks and had a new lawyer who was running circles around the three I had just been through. In my first visit, Kara said, "Your job is to relax and get your life back together, my job is to take care of what's happening in this divorce." And that's just what she did I was delighted that Kara is not only exceptionally sharp and capable, but at the same time scrupulously honest and moral. She kept me away from any form of vindictiveness, while at the same time expertly countering the moves of the other lawyer. In the end, I came out in a better position than when I came in, closer to where I should have been at the start. I don't know how you find a divorce lawyer - at that moment, you are too broken to think straight or investigate deeply. From my experiences, I can recommend Kara's office highly, and hope she and her partners serve you as well as they did me.
