I am very happy to write this review about Heekin Law. I worked with several people at Heekin Law. They are all absolutely wonderful. They are the best at what they do, they are honest, they are compassionate and they are patient. First and foremost, they actually care about you as a person. Not about your money, or what you can do for them. That might sound like it should be obvious but in my experience it is rare. David Heekin met with me and spent a lot of time educating me on Real Estate Law in a way that I could understand without talking down to me. Again, law can be confusing and people can feel very vulnerable. He gave me great advice. n William Floury was exactly the same way. Parker and Defuse would not even speak to me unless I paid them first, including the credit card interest which they charge back to you, and I had no idea what I was even paying them for. So instead, I called William, and he not only explained things clearly, the price was a quarter of what Parker quoted me, and William was very careful to make sure that I understood exactly what was going on. Everyone in this office is like this. It is so comforting when you are in a vulnerable emotional situation (most of us are when we call a lawyer) to know that someone cares. William was very helpful in assisting me in resolving a landlord/tenant dispute. Not only was he the only attorney willing to listen to the details of my issue, but he also did not ask for additional fees when the case became more complicated than we anticipated. He saw it through until the end and was very quick to answer all my questions. Having this matter finalized is a big relief and I do not think I would have gotten the fair outcome if I had tried to deal with it all on my own. Will definitely call him again if I have contract disputes in the future!
