I called 5 days ago,.unable to understand operator. I was told someone would contact me in 24 hrs. Never happened. I tried calling corporate. Death hold. I have only owned this edger for 4 wks. Used once and broke. On top of that it doesn't have instructions to help. Don't but the 2in 1 edger!!
Dangerous product and design. I own a leaf blower, and they provided a special cord and instructed me to use it to prevent fires from occurring. However, that cord actually just now heated up red hot and melted at the connection, burning up the unit and cord! WOW! So dangerous, and this was their 'fix' for the same problem! They also won't stand behind this product and correct this issue because its out of warranty. Go figure. With such a serious issue, they should pull these off the market and take care of their customers. And they actually said this regarding their tools, "it is not safe to continue using power tools as old as the one that you have" -- WHAT!? I definitely will consider other brand tools in the future as I expect them to be usable well past warranty.
I used to really trust BnD for quality. Just got off chat support with them and they refused to warranty a lithium battery I have had for under 5 years because it fell out of their 2 yr warranty period. I have only used this battery about 6 times total. Just went to Ryobi's website, their warranty for lithium batteries are 5 years. From now on all of my battery powered tools in my home will be bought from Ryobi. I will not buy from a company that can't stand behind it's products. You just lost a 20+ year long customer due to your poor warranty and manufacturing of products.
there warranty is awful. i bought a $25 coffee maker that stopped working within 6 months, and sent us a new one that was worth $9 & is completely different from the original one. would not reccoment this company
This was a dewalt issue but since stanley owns them they get the review. Got the heated hoodie for a gift in XXL size and it was too big. But I liked the heavyweight material. Swapped it for a medium which is a little more and the quality is no where near the same. The medium hoodie is flimsy compared to the 2X. The medium is advertised to have a fuel gauge with it but the ones who get a fuel gauge with their charger is 2X. They have 2 different chargers that they give and one has 2 usb ports and the other 1. When I went to contact them over these issues they had no interest in helping me. The part that gets me is the false advertising of a fuel gauge, When you read the instructions it says the the battery which is not included has the gauge. Then why does the 2X have a gauge on the charger and battery?
